This weeks GGB has a very interesting job, and although she isn’t a frequent blogger on her personal website, perhaps being featured in the GGB series has inspired her to use her blog more often. Not that I, Amanda, have done any better. My personal blog is pretty much un-used… I still only have intentions to use it. But when I do, I’ll probably end up writing this article about my own survey! Anyhow, today we have the lovely Sarah Katz:

Name: Sarah Katz
Screen Name: @katzsarah (Twitter)
SarahKatzPersonal Blog: http://katzsarah.blogspot.com/
Social Networks: Twitter (@katzsarah), Facebook (Sarah Emily Katz), LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahemilykatz)
Current Employment: Lisa P. Maxwell (www.lisapmaxwell.com)
Location/country: Chicago, IL

What is your reason/motivation for blogging?

I usually like to post interesting links that I have found online or little blurbs about what I’m up to.

What is it that you find yourself blogging about, mostly the same stuff or does it vary?

I mostly write about the same variety of things. (Cool links, funny stories, what I’m doing during the day)

What style of blogging do you do, short and regular, or not so regular but long, other? And is your blogging just text or do you also use audio or video?

I usually blog short and regular. I most use Twitter as a micro-blogging tool. I rarely use my personal blog, although this interview has certainly made me re-think it! I usually put a lot of unnecessary thoughts into writing on my personal blog so I prefer to use Twitter for short updates that are more personable.

How Sarah became a Geek Girl Blogger:

42-15530438 I became a Geek Girl Blogger because of my fantastic company site, www.lisapmaxwell.com. The Lisa P. Maxwell site features live streaming video of all the employees and the ability to chat in real time with them. Someone approached me via the site and asked if I would be interested in participating. I work in PR so I don’t always get to express my geeky side but I’m trying to integrate it more into our everyday practices!

Thanks for reading our latest GGB survey…

If you are a Geek Girl Blogger, or know that you probably are one even if you don’t consider yourself to be one, and you’d like to be featured in our series, then please contact us and we’ll get back to you. We’re always on the lookout for some new GGB’s so don’t hesitate if you’re interested. We’d love to feature you!

aManda

Getting a good number of followers reading your blogs is not easy so I definitely admire bloggers like Sarah who are able to share and create interest among readers in whatever topic she choose to discuss. Well done girl!
