Whats up over at Microsoft?

 

I just cleaned out my RSS feed reader for all the inactive feeds that were not being updated. Fortunately Google Reader is good at giving me that info.

 

But over half of the inactive feeds were from Microsoft staff blogs, mostly about Office products, Sharepoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Word etc. In most cases the sites had never been updated to say that the person was no longer working on that team or had stopped blogging about the product. In a couple of instances there wsa an explanation and a redirect to a team blog that was being updated.

I am busy upgrading all our websites. both our company and personal ones and all our customers sites. there have been a number of security issues on the web lately with both Drupal and IE. See this story about Badware on Ethans blog - this is similar as to what happened to this site about a week after I launched it.

Fortunately I found the problem almost immediately and was able to delete the hacked scripts. However they kept coming back and I couldn't figure out how. I changed the administrator password and that stopped them. Then I upgraded the site and the problem has now gone away.

In our day there are many who have a form of Godliness but deny the reality of it. Some of this can bee seen in their actions. There are numerous websites and emails circulating that are attempts by people calling themselves christians, some well meaning, others I believe deliberately fraudulent.
