The Search Machine - Registry Software Key Retrieval

You've got a legal copy, installed and activated. Then your machine goes and blows up on you and you have to install it again. Where's the product key? If your anything like me it probably went out in the rubbish some time ago.
The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Windows Vista, Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007.

Microsoft Releases Word 2007 Viewer for Reading docx Documents

Amit has posted about Microsoft's new Office 2007 viewers.

Microsoft has recently introduced a free Word 2007 viewer that lets you view docx Word documents, even if you don't have any version of Word installed. This does away with the need to download the Office 12 Compatibility Pack or manually convert .docx to .doc format using any of the online conversion services to open a Word 2007 document. To use the viewer you will still need to install the Office Compatibility Pack.
Microsoft has also provided a Powerpoint 2007 viewer for pptx presentations. There is currently no Excel 2007 viewer however you can convert xlsx to xls using Zamzar and then view the converted spreadsheet in Google Docs.

Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 - problems with Excel Macros

Microsoft released Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) recently. According to their blurb
Microsoft® Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) represents a major evolution in security for Office 2003. It further hardens the Office suite against potential attacks and other security threats. This service pack also includes fixes that have been previously released as separate updates for Office 2003.
