hey did you like the Poisonwood Bible?
i thought it was a brilliant book - slightly week ending, but fantastic novel and a good idea on how not to be a missionary

mate i did

i thought after i posted that i probably should have written some commentary on the books but never mind.
maybe i can just ask questions in here

completely agree about how not to be a missionary, and how not to do any sort of relational ministry - and in the end thats what all ministry is. Be all things to all people.
yeah the ending was a bit sad and kind of an anti climax, but i guess the first half was so strong that it kind of ended that way by default. the sense of disillusionment was very strong.
